One of my favorite FAVORITE things about writing a book is the new friends I get to make!
I love it when kids come up to me to tell me how much they're enjoying the book! Reading is one of my favorite things to do! When I see that my book is helping you all to enjoy reading even more - it just makes me beam with joy!
One of my newest friends is Reanna! She sent me a picture of her curled up on the couch, reading Lunarium. When I asked her what part of the book was her favorite, she said "the whole book! It's one of my favorite books ever!"
That just made my whole week!!!
I wanted to share this picture of her beginning to read the book :)
My daughter Sydney -who is "Alexis" in the book - has read Lunarium 6 times! Every time I see her with the book again, I just giggle and say "How many times are you going to read that!?" She just says she loves it and can't help herself! I guess I better get the sequel out soon so she will have something else to read!! haha
Love you all!

Lunarium 2
I really need to start thinking of a better title of the second book :)
Well, today is the first official day of Christmas break - no teaching for me for the next 2 weeks, and I'm hoping to get a lot of writing done for the sequel!
I have my little fans asking me when, when, when will it be done??? And if that can't motivate an author - I don't know what can! So I am so excited to dig in and get a lot written! I had already started the first chapter a while ago, but this morning - I woke up with a different beginning! soooooo... I'm scrapping that first chapter and starting fresh!
For all you young writers out there - never let that discourage you! It's ok to begin again, and again, and again! A good portion of writing a book is editing: making your thoughts clearer - going back and developing your plot - making your characters a little more real, and it's not just ok to do that - it's good and almost always necessary!
Start practicing your writing! It's just like any other skill! Practicing will make you better and don't you want to be ready for the contest coming up? :) More on that to follow - but for now - just write! It's so fun to make an entire world where you are the creator! Anything can happen! Want to be best friends with a talking pillow? Write about it! Want to eat so many marshmallows you start to become one? Write about it! Want to save the world with your ability to freeze time? Go ahead and write about it! Want to tie your little sister up with licorice and paint her hair with peanut butter? Definitely do NOT DO that.... but go ahead and write about it! hehehe :)
Be creative and enjoy!
I'll be sure to keep you updated on my progress :) Thanks for checking up on me, friends! (Hi Jonah, Grace, and Billie!!!)
Love you lots!

Lunarium's first interview!!!
I spent the afternoon with Bonnie Phelps talking all about Lunarium! What a great interview! Though it was an interview - it felt like a wonderfully warm afternoon talking with a friend!
I suppose it was both!
During the end of the interview, we talked about the future of Lunarium: where its going, what's in store for fans, and the very early stages of a possible writing contest next year!
I've been almost silent on this blog up until now. I had been spending my time writing in another project - that followed my year long journey to raise money for Jesus wells. (which ended fantastic - my goal was to raise money for 1 well -but we ended up raising enough for 2 and even had money left over to put to a third!!)
That ended on December 1st - and now its time for my attention to be drawn back into the world of Lunarium!
The purpose of this blog is to not just keep you updated on what's going on with Lunarium - but also to connect me with people who enjoyed reading it! That is the wonderful beauty of the internet! Authors and readers can be connected by a simple webpage!
The most exciting thing coming up is.... Lunarium 2 - which is just a working title :) but even more exciting than that... is that fans of the first book are going to be invited to join a special writing contest! I'm thinking about having a really fun grand prize. I'm tossing around some creative ideas and one of them that popped up was - the winner may be a character in the second book!
I know that it will take a while for Lunarium to catch on - but what I'm most excited about - is being able to talk to the fans through this site! Staying in touch with them and hearing their creative thoughts and ideas has me very excited!! Hopefully in time - we'll have a little fun group on here!
love you lots!

Lunarium is born!
Publishing a book is a lot like bringing home your newborn baby!
After months of Lunarium growing from an idea to an actual book, I finally got to see it hosted on Amazon's Kindle site! So exciting!!! And it looks beautiful! Wanna see it?
Check it out! Lunarium by LeLe Ste on Amazon.com
Then, I started looking for all kinds of places that would print my book - and I came across this wonderful little site called The Book Patch. Very cool! Uploading my book there was as simple as 1-2-3! It was so easy and fun that tomorrow I'm goin to tell my kids about it and encourage them to write a story! Sound like fun? Why don't you try it too?! At the end of the summer, you can have your friends and family read them and pick the best one for you to print out! If you're nervous that you can't do it on your own... wait til you hear this!
One special aspect of The Book Patch is that you can start a book on your own - and if you get "stuck", you can open it up for friends to add onto it! In a few months, you can have a book that a bunch of buddies have helped you to create. You know what they say... two heads are better than one! Imagine if you have 4 or 5 heads!
If that still sounds scary to you - don't be afraid! Just try it out! Isn't that how you learn? Why not have fun with it? Be creative and jump right in! Its ok to make mistakes, just keep moving forward until you have a finished product! Who knows? You can be the next great author!
I'd love to see what you come up with - so make sure you send me a message with the link to your work!
